Its a morning ritual, actually more like a mid day for the night person ritual. Wake up, drink tea, listen to the news on the radio and draw. Inevitably Im drawing monkeys in suits uttering profanities at slightly different looking monkeys in suits, desperate people scrounging for a drop of potable water while private water company executives trade secret handshakes and religious fanatics going to war with other religious fanatics (exchange countries and religions at random). When time permits and the breeze blows at the right angle, a few of these drawings make it to a larger format of print or painting, and a larger (somewhat distorted) mirror is held up to humanity. Well, my own humanity at least.
